均口村位于金溪河畔，是闽江的正源头，距县城25公里。镇政府驻于本村，全镇的政务、文化和商贸活动多集中于此。[1][2]
「2023年福建省卫生村」称号于2024年1月授予本村；2025年11月，村庄被认定为「福建省第二批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1997年，撤乡并镇后划归均口镇。[1]
1984年改为村民委员会；1968年设革命领导小组；1958年为均口公社的均口大队；1956年改为均口乡人民委员会；1950年设均口乡，隶属第三区人民政府。宋元时此地属南乡赤岸保，解放前则是宁安乡的均口保。[1][2]
红色遗址[edit]
村内桐斜一带有「中共均口特区委员会旧址」（谢氏祖屋）与「均口特区游击队司令部旧址」，都是苏区时期的革命遗址。[1][2]
