枧头村是溪口镇下辖的行政村，村名由来据博雅地名网所载：过去架设高水枧引水灌田，村庄建在水枧的水头。[1]

福建省爱国卫生运动委员会于2022年12月把本村列为「2022年福建省卫生村」；2022年10月，本村被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2024年7月，本村获「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」称号。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时属西乡大南保，明初改属西区大南保；解放前为定安乡枧头保，解放后归一区，设枧头乡人民政府。[1]

1956年改称枧头乡人民委员会，1958年编入溪口公社为枧头大队，1968年设大队革命领导小组，1984年改为枧头村委员会，1995年9月起归溪口镇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

红一军团司令部旧址位于枧头新街，为清代建筑。1933年9月，蒋介石发动第五次“围剿”，次年红一军团司令部设在此地，并直接指挥了驻马寨阻击战。[2][3]
