渠村是溪口镇下辖的行政村，村名由地形得来：两条溪流在村前合口，又像两条水渠。[1]
村内姓氏众多，县人民政府网站称之为「百家姓」特色文化村落。[2]
福建省爱卫办于2021年11月把本村列为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2022年10月，村经福建省农业农村厅确认为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2024年2月，本村被确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋元时为北乡兰田保的一部分，明初隶北区兰田保；解放前是定安乡渠村保，解放后设渠村乡人民政府，属一区。[1]
1956年设渠村乡人民委员会，1958年编入溪口公社，称渠村大队；1968年设大队革命领导小组，1984年改为渠村村民委员会，1995年9月起属溪口镇。[1]
