马源村是溪口镇下辖的行政村，村名与一则流传的故事有关：相传古时有白马精顺山而下，于此形成水源，故名马源。[1]
2024年7月，本村获「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」称号，并被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋元时期，本地属东乡开山保，明初隶东区开山保；解放前为庆安乡马源保，解放后归四区马源乡政府，随后又划入一区。[1]
1958年改属溪口公社，称马源大队；1968年设大队革命领导小组，1984年改为马源村村委会，1995年9月起归溪口镇。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
驻马寨阻击战遗址位于马源村与周边村落之间。驻马寨在建宁城北，是建宁东北面的一道防线，1934年初的驻马寨阻击战即在此一带进行。[1][2]
