宁源村位于里心镇北部，地处闽江上游金溪流域，距镇区11公里，与江西省南丰县交界。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宁姓人家在小溪边建村，取“源远流长”之意而得名。[1]

宋元时，此地归宾贤乡安吉保；明初属北区安吉保；民国时属益安乡，保名为宁源保。[1]

1950年，此地划入第二区，成立宁源乡人民政府；到1956年，该乡政府换称宁源乡人民委员会。1958年以后，此地成为宁源生产大队；1968年，它转为宁源大队革命领导小组；1984年起设村民委员会，隶属里心镇。[1]

「2021年福建省卫生村」的称号于2021年11月由福建省爱卫办授予宁源村。2024年7月，村子获「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」称号。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

「宁源乡革命委员会（苏维埃政府）遗址」位于宁源村。中央苏区第一次反“围剿”获胜后，红军在建宁、南丰、广昌一带筹集款项。[1]
