岩坑村在开善乡西南面，东面与将乐县万全乡相邻，离乡政府约18公里。村名取自村中的自然村「岩坑」，那里位于大山中的山坳谷地，由傅岩在此开基定居，后人以其名作纪念。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时期，此地归崇礼乡高平里管辖，属开善下保。民国初年归南乡，1934年改属三区，1940年归开永乡。[2]

解放后，1950年底至1951年底设良浅乡政府。1954年单独设岩坑乡，1958年改为岩坑生产大队，归冲天公社管辖，1959年划归儒坊公社，1984年9月转为村民委员会。[2]

经济[edit]

林业是村里的支柱产业之一，林权制度改革之后，村集体收入有所增加。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

际上石拱桥（清）位于际上自然村，2013年文物普查名录列其在岩坑行政村名下。[4]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，岩坑村被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。2024年7月，村子获「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」的命名。[1]
