茜元村位于梅口乡西部大金湖畔，北望大金湖，距泰宁县城41公里，距乡集镇20公里。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村名的来历是：以驻地村得名，驻地村称“上茜元”，因村前田塅平坦、座西向东而得名。[1]

村下辖5个自然村，设8个村民小组，合计193户684人，此数字未注明统计年份。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时，村地归崇礼乡大田里依口保管辖；民国初至1931年属南乡。[1]

苏维埃时期（1931至1934年）设茜元乡苏维埃政府，归梅口区；1934年6月划归三区，1940年改入弋梅乡。解放后，1950年底至1951年底设弋口乡政府，隶属三区；此后数年间村地屡经分设与并合。1958年改为生产大队；1961年另立茜元生产大队，归梅口公社管辖；1984年9月24日改设村民委员会，归梅口乡管辖。[1]

文化[edit]

荣誉方面，2024年7月，村获「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」命名。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内的茜元吕氏祖厝为清代古建筑，位于茜元自然村，列入泰宁县第三次全国文物普查登记的不可移动文物。[2]
