水际村位于梅口乡东南部，濒临大金湖，距城区10公里，是老区基点村和库区移民村。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

村位于大金湖边，属世界地质公园与世界自然遗产的核心景区范围，下设4个村民小组。户数与人口有两种记载：博雅地名网记为133户516人，百度百科记为142户584人，两者均未注明统计年份。[1][3]

村名源自村旁的白水际瀑布，曾用名白水际。1958年另立水际大队。[3]

文化[edit]

荣誉方面，2019年11月，农业农村部推介村为「2019年中国美丽休闲乡村」；2019年12月，入选「第一批国家森林乡村」名单；2020年11月，入选「2020年福建省金牌旅游村」名单；2020年12月，被确定为「福建省第一批高级版绿盈乡村」；2021年9月，被认定为「第二批全国乡村治理示范村」；2024年7月，获「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」命名。另据博雅地名网，2011年12月，村上榜「第三届全国文明村镇」名单。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内的文物古迹有泰宁尚书墓（省级文物保护单位）、甘露岩寺、水际醴泉禅寺（县级文物保护单位）与邱嘉彩隐居处，四者均列入泰宁县第三次全国文物普查登记的不可移动文物。详见「梅口乡」条目。[4]
