麦坑村位于梅口乡西南部，地处大金湖库区东侧，是老区基点村，也是库区移民村。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村辖6个村民小组，有171户648人，此数字未注明统计年份。耕地多为山垅田。[1]

村名的来历是：村中原有古庵的旧迹，原名“蓦坑”，“麦坑”是本地方言对这一旧迹所在地的音译。[1]

人口民族[edit]

1979年因池潭水库建设，村民由原弋口大队迁出，于是组建本村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时，村地归崇礼乡大田里依口保管辖；民国初至1931年属南乡。[2]

苏维埃时期（1931至1934年）村地归梅口区，1934年6月起隶属三区，1940年改入弋梅乡。新中国成立后，1950年底至1951年底设过乡政府，隶属三区；1956年归弋口区，1959年隶属梅口公社。1980年分出另设麦坑生产大队，仍隶属梅口公社；1984年9月9日改设村民委员会，归梅口乡管辖。[2]

文化[edit]

荣誉方面，2021年11月，麦坑村获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号，由福建省爱卫办命名。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内的龚家地廊桥为清代古建筑，列入泰宁县第三次全国文物普查登记的不可移动文物。[3]
