拥坑村在梅口乡政府驻地，离县城20公里，属乡中心区。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村名来自群山环绕、地势凹陷的地形。[1]

村辖8个村民小组，有220户863人，此数字未注明统计年份。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时，村地隶属崇礼乡高平里的永兴保；明洪武元年（1368年）改入同里的永兴下保。民国初至1931年间归南乡管辖。[1]

苏维埃时期（1931至1934年），村里设过洋地乡苏维埃政府，归区里统一领导；1934年6月改属三区，1940年划入弋梅乡。1961年设拥坑生产大队，归梅口公社。1979年梅口公社迁至本村的洋地自然村，此后那里成为公社驻地。1984年9月30日改设村民委员会，归梅口乡管辖。[1]

文化[edit]

荣誉方面，村于2020年12月入选「2020年度福建省一村一品示范村」名单，主打茶叶。2021年11月，获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。2024年2月，被确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象。2024年7月，村被确定为「2021—2023年三明市达标六无村（社区）」。2025年11月，被认定为「福建省第二批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]

拥坑古井为元代古建筑，列入泰宁县第三次全国文物普查登记的不可移动文物。[2]
