枫源村位于新桥乡东北角，北靠邵武市桂林乡，东与上青乡接壤，西邻王明村，南界岭下村和新桥村。村部位于枫源，海拔650米，离乡所在地新桥有3公里。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时，枫源属绥城乡清泰里安仁保。1931年至1934年苏维埃时期，它隶属新桥区；此后1934年6月起归五区管辖，1940年划入安仁乡，1944年改属崇仁乡，1948年复归安仁乡。[2]

新中国成立后，1950年12月起至1951年12月止期间，村中设新桥乡政府，归第四区管辖。1958年起划归上游公社，次年改属朱口公社，1961年转入新桥公社，同年析置枫源生产大队。1984年9月1日起称村民委员会，属新桥乡。[2]

文化[edit]

1996年，枫源村被县委评为双文明建设先进村。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

外垇黄氏祖屋建于清代，位于枫源行政村，列入县文物普查名录。[4]
