历史沿革[edit]
宋元时，王明属绥城乡清泰里安仁保。1931年，苏维埃时期设立的王明坑乡苏维埃政府隶属新桥区。此后1934年6月起归五区管辖，1940年划入安仁乡，1944年改属崇仁乡，1948年复归安仁乡。[2]
新中国成立后，1950年12月起至1951年12月止期间，村中设王明乡政府，归第四区管辖。1984年9月1日起改称村民委员会，归新桥乡管辖。[2]
经济[edit]
村中以林业为基础。三明市于1993年把本村列为笋干经营专业村；1994年，县委、县政府命名本村为县级文明村。[1]
村民中有相当一部分在外地从事清水笋生产、笋干经营和第三产业。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
王明坑自然村水口边的庙子栋至双坪一带山场上，有一处百年以上的杉、松和杂木古树群落。[1]
上宝石村口有一棵树龄超过二百年的罗汉松。[3]
上宝石一带的基督教堂1989年建成，2000年4月，该教堂获授「福建省宗教界为社会主义两个文明建设服务先进集体」荣誉。[1]
村辖区纳入峨嵋峰国家级自然保护区范围。[3]
