大兴村位于新桥乡西部，西与建宁县相邻。村部驻上王坑，海拔730米，是全乡海拔较高的村之一，距乡所在地新桥10公里。全村有7个自然村，1994年和1996年先后被县委、县政府命名为县级文明村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时，大兴属绥城乡清泰里安仁保。1931年至1934年苏维埃时期，村里设邓家地乡苏维埃政府，隶属新桥区。此后1934年6月起归五区管辖，1940年划入安仁乡，1944年改属崇仁乡，1948年复归安仁乡。[2]

新中国成立后，1950年12月起至1951年12月止期间，村中设大兴乡政府，归第四区管辖。1958年，村里成为大兴生产大队，归上游公社统辖，次年转入朱口公社，1961年又划到新桥公社。1984年9月起改称村民委员会，属新桥乡。[2]

经济[edit]

村中毛竹生产较多，2004年三明市政府授予竹业开发十佳村称号，村里还是新桥乡笋竹两用林丰产示范片所在地。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

上王坑大厝为明代古建筑，有三厅九栋，保存状况尚好，可供游览。[1]

大兴村境内的上王坑兴隆桥、上王坑杨家宅列入县文物普查名录，年代为清；新桥中村窑址亦在本村，年代为清。[3]
