上渠村位于下渠镇东部。村名与地势有关，古时此处有“上衢桥”，后以谐音写作“上渠”[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

宋至元代，村域属崇礼乡高平里的永兴保，明至清代改属永兴上保；1911年至1931年仍属永兴上保，并归南乡管辖。1931年6月至1934年7月划入大均区，1934年编入永南联保，1938年转入开永联保，都归三区管辖。1940年至1943年先后归三区开永乡、一区开永乡，之后回到开永乡。解放后，1951年改归下渠乡，1953年分出设上渠乡，1956年划入弋口区，1958年成立大队，1959年定名为上渠大队，1962年划归下渠公社。1984年改设上渠村，2018年11月归属下渠镇[2]。
