王石村属杉城镇，位于泰宁县东部，邵泰公路从村的西北方向穿过，南通将泰线，距县城约7公里。村东南与东石村相接，村南面有八里桥村，全村有5个自然村和9个村民小组。[1]
建置沿革[edit]
1954年设王石乡政府，隶属一区；1956年东石乡并入，改隶朱口区。1958年改为王石生产大队，同时将东石另设生产大队；1984年9月设为村民委员会。[2]
据博雅地名网，王石与东石原为一个村，后分为两村。[1]
革命历史[edit]
村中有30名同志参加中国工农红军，8人曾担任苏维埃政府要职，22人被追认为革命烈士。[1]

山林中产竹木，并产云母、长石、石英石，也有部分金矿。[1]
古迹与荣誉[edit]
2013年名录登记团石坑三佛堂（清代），在王石行政村团石坑自然村。[3]
2005年，村获县委、县政府授予文明村称号；2006年，县委又评其为先进基层党组织。[1]
