朱岭头村位于余坊乡北部，离乡政府10公里。福银高速公路穿过村域；村子也属革命老区村。[1]

村名的来历，据博雅地名网所载，是村子坐落在一道山岭上，此岭有路通往泰宁朱口一带，故称朱岭。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代时此地属隆兴都。苏维埃时期（1931年至1934年）曾设朱岭头乡苏维埃政府。1935年，这里归隆兴联保下的一个保管辖；1939年划入隆兴乡。1952年8月，改归大源区（第六区）。[2]

1961年10月自瓜溪划出，另设朱岭头大队，属余坊公社。1966年一度改称东方红大队，次年复名。1984年9月，政社分设，改设朱岭头村民委员会，归余坊乡管辖。[2]

文化[edit]

2024年7月，村子被命名为「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」，同月被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标六无村（社区）」。[1]
