历史沿革[edit]
明代此地属隆兴都。1931年至1934年间，设瓜溪乡苏维埃政府。1941年5月设瓜溪保，隶隆兴乡。1950年前，此地为隆兴乡的瓜溪保；1952年改称第六区瓜溪乡；1955年10月归大源区。1957年9月另设瓜溪乡，属万安区。[2]
1958年10月起归红旗人民公社。1959年9月，本村改为瓜溪大队，隶万安公社；1961年10月改隶余坊公社。1984年9月，村民委员会成立，隶余坊乡。[2]
文化[edit]
村中保留两处苏维埃时期的革命遗址，遗存有红军墙与红军标语。[1]
明清古建筑中有文昌阁，此外还有一组农业学大寨建筑群。[1]
村中有县级非物质文化遗产瓜溪木偶戏。[1]
瓜溪村在2015年10月进入福建省第一批省级传统村落之列。此后，福建省爱卫办授予村子「2021年福建省卫生村」称号，时为2021年11月；2022年10月，它又获福建省农业农村厅认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
2024年7月，村子被命名为「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」，同月还被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标六无村（社区）」。[1]
