隆兴村位于余坊乡北部，距乡政府所在地约5公里，属革命老区村。[1]

「隆兴」一名，据博雅地名网所载，是由隆集都迁来此地定居的村民所起，并含兴旺之意。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代此地归隆兴都管辖，清代仍循旧制。苏维埃时期，1931年至1934年间，这里设有隆兴乡苏维埃政府。此后的1935年，这里成为隆兴保，1939年又归隆兴乡。[2]

1950年，村子被认定为「革命老区村」。1951年11月设隆兴乡，属第五区，此后辖区几经变动，1957年归万安区。1958年划入红旗公社；1959年改为大队，隶万安公社；1961年10月改属余坊公社。[2]

1966年曾改称红卫大队，1968年恢复原名。1984年9月撤队改村，大队更名为隆兴村民委员会，隶属余坊乡。[2]

村民收入主要来自水稻、烟叶与制种。[1]
