余坊村是余坊乡的乡政府驻地村，位于乡中心区。村内留有苏维埃时期的革命遗址，也有明清时代的古建筑。[1][2]

村里的余坊中心校，前身是1950年创办的余坊学校。[4]

地名由来[edit]

村名的构成是这样：「余」为姓氏，「坊」有街巷之义，合起来指余姓人家聚居形成的村落。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代此处称儒林保，明代改称儒林市，隶属龙华都；入清后归隆兴都。[3]

村地在1931年至1934年间曾是余坊乡苏维埃政府所在。进入1939年，联保制度废止，余坊转为隆兴乡内的一个保。[3]

1949年后，村属第五区隆兴乡。此后几经改隶，先后归第六区、大源区与万安区。1958年成为余坊大队，1961年隶余坊公社。1984年9月撤去大队建制，改设余坊村民委员会，隶属余坊乡。[3]

地理环境[edit]

村内有梅溪与隆坊溪两条河流，二者自东向西流入金溪。[2]

文化[edit]

村中保留着三处苏维埃时期的革命遗址，分别为红军井、红军楼，以及石背上的朱德宣讲会址。[2]

村里另有明清时期的花桥与寺庙等古建筑，民间的舞龙灯与板凳龙也流传至今。[2]

余坊中心校创建于1978年，前身为1950年创办的余坊学校。[4]

余坊村获得的荣誉，依时间先后，有以下几项：先是福建省爱卫办授予的「2021年福建省卫生村」（2021年11月）；随后是福建省农业农村厅认可的「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」（2022年10月）；年末又被列为「2022年度福建省一村一品专业村」，以「高地贡米」为主打。[1]
