余坊乡位于福建省三明市将乐县西北部，西面和北面与泰宁县相接。乡境内以种植水稻和经营毛竹为主要农业，福银高速公路横穿而过。[1][2]

1984年，此地由公社改制为余坊乡，此前曾分属多个区。1931年至1934年间，这里曾建立泰宁县的余坊区苏维埃政权；乡政府驻地在余坊村。[1][3]

文化[edit]

「余坊」之名，据博雅地名网所载，缘于乡政府驻地一带土质深厚、肥力好，产出的粮食足以自给，故以此取名。[2]

在卫生乡镇的评定中，余坊乡于2024年1月获得「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」的称号。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代，这片地方的村落分属隆兴、张源都与隆集都等旧有区划，宋代则归于儒林保。[3]

1931年至1934年间，境内有苏维埃政权设于此地，隶属泰宁县的余坊区。1934年境内改行保甲，1939年设隆兴乡。1950年，境内分设余坊、隆兴两乡，归第五区管辖。此后数年间，先后划入第六区、大源区，1957年改由万安区管辖。[3]

1958年，余坊大队成立，归红旗公社管辖。1961年10月，红旗公社析为四个公社，其中一个为余坊公社。1984年9月，原公社改为余坊乡，全乡分为9个村，共55个村民小组。[3]

乡党委在2023年的一份文件中，将余坊称为革命老区乡，并以此为题部署高质量发展。[4]

地理环境[edit]

乡境在将乐县西北部，福银高速公路横穿其间，省道也从境内经过。百度百科与博雅地名网所载省道名称不同，此处不取其名。[1][2]

乡境面积，百度百科载为135.8平方千米，博雅地名网载为约142平方公里。两者均未注年份，此处取百度百科之数。[1][2]

百度百科所载的户籍人口数截至2019年底，为1.07万人。[1]博雅地名网另载约3008人，未注年份，且与其所列各村人口相加之数不合，故不取。[2]

经济[edit]

农业以水稻和毛竹为主。乡镇工业有森工和矿产开发两类。[2]
