光明镇是福建省三明市将乐县下辖的镇，位于县境西北部，距县城约13公里[1]。全镇下辖11个行政村[3][4]，2018年11月28日由光明乡撤乡设镇[2]。

地名由来[edit]

建乡时，乡民盼望地方兴旺、前途一片光明，便取此意定名为光明乡。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代此地属永吉里；明、清时，今镇域分属永吉、光明、莫源、阳岸等都的部分乡村。[2]

1931年至1934年间，境内设有光明区苏维埃政府；此后，1935年又分设光明联保与三头联保。1939年，地方重新称光明乡，归第三区署辖理，1941年5月转隶第二区署。[2]

新中国成立后，1950年3月此地称新民（光明）乡，隶第一区；1954年12月改称光明乡；1955年10月划归城关区。1958年10月，此地组建光明大队，归红星（城关）公社管辖；1961年冬组建光明公社，此后于1984年9月转为乡建制，直至2018年11月28日撤乡设镇。[2]

自然环境与经济[edit]

镇境属亚热带季风气候。[3]

农业以水稻、烟叶、食用菌、柑橘和竹木为主；乡镇工业有采矿、建筑和食品加工。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

光明余氏宗祠（光明区苏维埃政府旧址）在光明村。据博雅地名网，这座祠堂始建于南宋祥兴二年（1279年），现存建筑保留清后期风格，坐西南朝东北，主厅面阔三间，左侧附有余氏祖墓。[5]

1931年6月，红军在这一带围攻罗鸿标部，此后光明区苏维埃政府即设于祠内。[5]

2003年6月，将乐县文物管理委员会先将该祠列为保护对象；2009年11月，福建省人民政府将其公布为省级文物保护单位。[5]

禊俚村内另有一处旧址，即禊俚乡革命委员会遗址。1931年6月25日，红军第六师第七团于此建起将乐西区禊俚乡革命委员会，这是本县首个乡级苏维埃政权，办公处设在白宗惠家中。遗址原为白宗惠家祖屋，20世纪70年代拆旧建新，仅留存一部分。[6]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，光明镇被评定为「福建省卫生乡镇」，评定机构为省级爱卫部门。[1]
