“泰”字有平安、安定之意。明清时期此地称褉村，属瑞龙都，后改名泰村。[1]
唐宋时期已有人在此居住。[1]
2024年7月，泰村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
