上坊村位于高唐镇，村名取自村落位于地势较高处之意。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此处为高滩都上坊村，民国时期分属高滩保与高唐保。[1]

1951年归高唐乡管辖，1958年成为红星公社高唐大队下的生产队；1962年一度划出，直属县农料所；1975年改为上坊良种场，由高唐公社直接管理；1984年9月改称上坊村民委员会。[1]

文化[edit]

上坊村于2021年11月被命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」，2024年7月被命名为「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」。[1]
