元坪村位于高唐镇，村名与「圆」字谐音，因村内地势平坦、呈圆形而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村落始建于清代，属富谷都。1939年设元坪保。[1]

1958年才归红星人民公社，此前1952年已在第二区；1961年设元坪大队，改属高唐公社；1984年起为元坪村民委员会。[1]
