清代此处为富谷都的常源村。[1]

1952年这里归第二区，设常源乡；1958年成为红星人民公社下的常源大队，其后改隶高唐公社。至1984年，此地设为常源村民委员会。[1]

文化[edit]

常源村于2024年7月先后被命名为「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」，并被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标六无村（社区）」。[1]
