高坊村是万安镇的一个行政村，村名取高氏族人聚居于此之意。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据载村落元代已有，明弘治十八年（1505）正式设为高坊村，归县北的万安上都管辖。[1]

1931至1934年间，此地设高坊乡苏维埃政府。1935年至1950年解放前，村隶属万安联保、万安镇与万安乡的桥头保，名称未变。[1]

解放初，此地隶第五区的万安镇。1958年10月并入万安大队，1961年起另设高坊大队，仍属万安公社。1984年9月，改设高坊村民委员会，隶属万安镇。[1]
