和平村是将乐县古镛镇下辖的行政村，属镇乡结合区。村名取“和平时期开始”之意。[1]

村附近的莒峡山上有红军古佛堂塔战斗遗址。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1931年至1934年，这里建立乡级苏维埃政权，设蔗厂乡苏维埃政府。1935年归公洽保。1950年列为革命老区村；1952年设一区和平乡。[1]

1958年以后先后隶属红星公社与城关公社，1970年划入水南公社，称和平大队，1979年再回城关公社。1984年9月设城关乡和平村民委员会，次年4月改称古镛镇和平村民委员会。[1]

文化[edit]

1934年1月，中革军委命令红9军团接替红7军团守备将乐，要求红9军团的主力在县城周围的山地修筑堡垒。同年3月6日，红军一部在古佛堂塔山、元子坑顶设阵地阻击敌人，双方发生激烈战斗，形成古佛堂塔战斗遗址。[2]
