彭新村是八字桥乡的行政村，位于乡境东北部，靠近尤溪县柳塘水库，与洪牌村相接，距乡政府约10千米。博雅地名网称它是乡内最小的行政村。[1][2]
村子原为洪牌村的鲁坑自然村。因地形如坑，早年又有鲁姓人家住在这里，故称鲁坑。1992年前后从洪牌村分出，2000年改名彭新。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网的历史沿革页记村子始建于1992年，当时称「鲁坑村」，2000年改名彭新并设立村委会；村情页则记为1993年成立行政村并更名为彭新，两处年份不一。[3][2]
移民与人口[edit]
村子属柳塘水库移民村，人口稀少而分散。2006年，本村被省列为库区移民村。[2]
村中原有王、郑、肖、罗、鲁、彭等姓，其中鲁、彭两姓已不在村中，现有四姓。[2]
住房与经济[edit]
2000年后，村中有12户把木结构房屋改建为钢筋水泥结构。[2]
村中以产粮为主，每户都有金柑果园；村内产莹石，有企业负责开采。[2]
荣誉称号[edit]
2024年7月，彭新村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」，同月又被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标六无村（社区）」。[1]
