罗岩村是八字桥乡的行政村，位于尤溪县西部，与大田、沙县两县交界，东连村头村和黄龙村，南邻本乡的坑头村。村子距乡政府约4千米，通往乡政府的道路为水泥路面。[2]

村名的来历有几层：村子位于铁钉岩下，地形像一面锣，又是罗姓最早定居的地方，山上岩石裸露，故称罗岩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年，此地由罗岩大队改称罗岩村；1979年11月以前，它归管前公社，此后归八字桥公社。解放初曾隶属龙岩乡。早先的归属，博雅地名网两处说法不同：村情页记作尤溪一都居积保，历史沿革页则说旧属尤溪二都。[2][1][3]

人文[edit]

村中吴氏的始祖吴尚三，为吴国始祖泰伯、仲雍的第十三世子孙，于南宋理宗时（公元1237年）迁入罗岩定居。[2]

吴氏祠堂为清代建成的古民建筑，二层木结构，雕饰玲珑。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

铁钉岩海拔1008米，位于三县交界处，是当地一处胜景。[2]

荣誉称号[edit]

2024年7月，罗岩村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」。[1]
