龙湖村是八字桥乡的行政村，位于尤溪县西部，西面和北面与沙县大洛、南霞相邻，东接洪田村，南接村头村。村名取自地形：村子坐落在山间小盆地中，山脉如龙，地势如湖。[1][2]

村落与产业[edit]

村内有石头坑、水尾、山后、前洋、榄底五处自然村落。村子海拔约600米，气候宜人，适合多种作物，金柑与毛竹是村民增收的主要渠道。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村子在1984年才改称龙湖村。此前的1979年11月，它划入八字桥公社；1960年以前叫作龙村大队，再早一点，解放初为龙村乡。明清时它属尤溪一都，民国时归居福保。[1][3]

红色历史[edit]

1943年，林志群率领的一支红军小分队在水槽坑一带驻扎数月，后被伪乡公所的林子明带兵围歼。1954年，政府收敛了牺牲者的遗骸。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

文笔峰位于村境之内，石峰直耸高空，景色奇丽，登高时可以俯瞰四周的村落。[2]

人文[edit]

村中居民以张、吴、夏、林四姓为主。[2]

荣誉称号[edit]

2021年2月，龙湖村列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[1]

龙湖村于2021年11月获福建省爱卫办认定，列为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

2024年7月，龙湖村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」，同月又被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标六无村（社区）」。[1]
