园兜村位于台溪乡西北部，距县城34千米，距乡政府21千米。[1][2]

村名原取“大兜”，因环山呈半圆形，乾隆年间改称园兜。早年大演在此开基。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

早先属二十四都凤头保，解放初划入腾园乡。1958年归清溪大队，1961年分出，另建园兜大队；1984年转为园兜村，设村委会。[4]

人口与生活[edit]

村中共256户、1112人（未注统计年份），分为12个村民小组。设党支部一个，党员26人，其中女党员1人。[2]

劳动力转移外出者285人。[2]

产业[edit]

据博雅地名网，园兜村是全乡土地流转经营较典型的村庄，种植烤烟、茶叶、油茶、柑桔与柿子等作物。[2]
