盖竹村位于台溪乡东部，是一个高山村，海拔约658米，下辖3个自然村。村落面积约2.6平方千米，距尤溪县城约30千米，距乡政府约13千米。[1][2][7]

此村先前叫“厚地”，后因毛竹多而改名“盖竹”。村中的茂荆堡为福建省第八批省级文物保护单位。[3][5][6]

历史沿革[edit]

旧属尤溪二十五都，解放前归厚地保。解放初称盖竹乡；1958年设盖竹大队，1984年此处转为盖竹村，设村民委员会。[4]

人口与地理[edit]

盖竹村背倚文笔峰，面对总督山；北面邻接丁岩村，南面连着坑美村，东靠东山村。全村有506户、2176人，未注统计年份。[1][2]

村中耕地1861亩，生态林2316亩，林地总面积为12806亩。毛竹与茶叶是村里的主要产业，村中另有竹产品与茶叶加工厂。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

茂荆堡建于清光绪八年至十一年（1882年至1885年），坐东朝西，平面呈前方后圆，建筑面积6000多平方米。正堂为五开间，堡内有前楼、厢房、文武斋堂、护厝与跑马道等。[5][6]

2013年，该堡列入福建省第八批省级文物保护单位，保护范围为堡墙外延30米。[5][6]

堡内遗存有32种中外报刊，其中一份是1928年出版的《美国洛杉矶报》。[7]

村中保存有清代建筑际宅厝，内有102间房。[2]

村东金钟山下有一棵古树，树龄五百余年，开花时远看如高山积雪，俗称“报雪花”。[2][7]

荣誉[edit]

2012年12月，盖竹村列入「第一批中国传统村落」名录。[1][7]

2024年1月，盖竹村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]

2024年7月，盖竹村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，同月被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
