台溪乡是福建省三明市尤溪县下辖的乡，位于县境中南部，距尤溪县城约17千米。乡境东与汤川乡、溪尾乡为邻，南接中仙乡，西连坂面镇，北靠城关镇。[1]

乡境多山林，毛竹与茶叶是主要物产。乡内的双兴堂、乾建堡和书京土堡均为福建省级文物保护单位，它们是博雅地名网列出的到台溪乡必去的景点。[4][5][6][8]

历史沿革[edit]

台溪一名在方言中读作“低溪”，意指山高水险、难于开发。[2] 宋代此地属常平乡和顺里，明代划入二十五都。[1][3]

民国年间，这一带归第四区、清华乡与台川乡等单位管辖，几经变动。新中国成立后，此地先设第七区，随后改称台溪区，并于1956年并入坂面区。[3]

1958年撤区并乡镇，此地成为台溪片，当年九月组建人民公社，初名金星，次年六月更名台溪。1961年曾设区工委，至1962年年底仍并为一个公社。[3]

1984年，台溪公社改设为乡，乡名沿用至今。[1][3]

地理与资源[edit]

博雅地名网记全乡森林覆盖率为75.6%，山中有红豆杉、水松等珍贵树种，林木蓄积约80万立方米，毛竹林有60987亩，以上数字均未注年份。该页还称台溪乡为省级生态乡镇。[2]

2022年，台溪粉干被列入福建省第七批省级非遗代表性项目。[2]
