大宁村位于溪尾乡西南部，北邻纲纪村，南邻高山村，东邻埔宁村，下辖8个自然村。村名原作长宁，后改为大宁，取平安安定之意。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时此地属尤溪十八都；新中国成立初期隶台溪区，1956年改由溪尾区辖理，1958年设大宁大队归溪尾公社，1984年称大宁村。[1]

西林寺[edit]

西林寺位于大宁与埔宁两村交界处。据博雅地名网，寺庙始建于宋代绍定六年（1233年）。一块石碑上的「十八都西林大仁坊大坛」字样，与1237年皇帝诰封之事有关。明嘉靖三十八年（1559年）重建西林祖殿，八十年代末村民集资再建。[2]

墓道石碑与古堡[edit]

大本洋、蒋头两处各存明代古墓道石碑一块，字迹清晰：大本洋一块立于明万历二十五年（1597年）八月，蒋头一块立于明隆庆四年（1570年）腊月。崩山、洋下两处各有一座古堡，俗称「炮台」。[2]

白云洞与稻草龙[edit]

陈坑底山峰上有白云洞，周围竹海茂密，猴群与多种野生动物出没，清泉汇成溪流，形成数处瀑布。[2]

陈坑底的「稻草龙」已列为市级非物质文化遗产。[3]
