赤墓村位于戴云山脉北部的山区，村子南面是溪滨村，北面与溪尾乡湖山相接，东侧挨着阳星村，西侧隔溪与丘山村相望。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

赤墓之名来自村旁的赤峰山。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代属二十都，民国年间称赤墓保，1949年曾设赤墓乡；1958年成立大队，1984年转为村。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村落面积2.8平方公里，土地12601亩，其中林地9653亩，耕地1601亩。距县城56公里，距洋中互通口20公里。[2]

村内为高山盆地，平均海拔在800米以上，盆地中部是一片十里平畴。[2]

人口与姓氏[edit]

村中有卓、张、陈三姓，分布于大村、洋头、赤墓、无边洋、无边寨五个自然村，共9个村民小组。博雅地名网所载人口864人，其中男性484人、女性380人，近200户，未注统计年份。[2]

经济[edit]

大村所产的野生普济茶最为人所知。茭白、荷兰豆等反季节蔬菜也有一定规模。山中出产小径竹笋、苦笋与苦蕨。[2]

荣誉[edit]

该村于2021年11月获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
