山岭村位于尤溪县东南部的汤川乡边缘，东侧和南侧与闽清县相邻，北侧挨着溪坪村。[1]

村域多在高山盆地之中，海拔普遍超过800米，周围群山起伏，年平均气温约19℃。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

地名取自吴岭头与马头山两处自然村的名称，各贡献一字，初称岭头。1981年地名普查时，同一公社内已有岭头之名，遂改称山岭。[1]

明清时期这里归尤溪县十九都，民国时期为岭头保。1949年设岭头乡，1958年建岭头大队，其后改为山岭大队；1984年改称山岭村，并成立村民委员会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子与县城相距94公里，离乡政府驻地33公里。林地面积达16220亩，耕地只有1544亩，全村土地合计18251亩。[1][2]

山地出产杉木、松木与毛竹，村里还有较多可供开采的石板材。[2]

人口与姓氏[edit]
