汤川乡是尤溪县辖的4个乡之一，位于县境东南部，东面与闽清、永泰两县相接，属福建省三明市。[3][5]

乡名原称洋面，后因当地的温泉（方言称“汤”）与高山盆地上的十里平畴合称，遂改名汤川。[1]

乡内地势多为高山，森林覆盖率高，有两处4A级景区。百度百科列出的景点中，侠天下景区与古溪星河都在其列。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代这一带属兴文乡长安里，明清时统称十九都与二十都。[1][3]

民国初年，本地归尤溪县第二区。到1940年，十九都更名为香湖乡，二十都更名为汤山乡；1945年两乡又合成香山乡。解放后，1950年划为第四区，1955年称汤川区。[1]

1958年改设群星公社，次年换称汤川公社，1984年才成为汤川乡。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

乡境地处戴云山脉，森林覆盖率为81%，林地与耕地分别约为224.11平方千米和22.46平方千米。乡土面积按正文计为303.86平方千米；博雅地名网的数据栏另载辖区面积约267平方千米，两数不一，本文以正文为准。[1]

省道308线贯穿全境。境内的高山盆地称汤川洋，其中为十里平畴。[1]

气候属亚热带季风气候。[3]

2019年末户籍人口为18233人。博雅地名网则载总人口17326人，该页未注统计年份。[3][2]

全乡共有102个自然村、188个村民小组。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

侠天下景区位于胡厝村，以侠文化为主题，园内有玻璃悬桥与悬崖宝剑电梯等项目。[6]

古溪星河休闲旅游度假景区位于溪滨村古溪自然村，园区以山地住宿与旅游相结合，有揽月山房等住宿。[7]

黄林村的崇福宫始建于明代，又名「夫人宫」，于2018年9月被列为福建省第九批省级文物保护单位。[4]

山兜村的「山兜中共地下党联络点旧址」又称山兜松林堂，为县级文物保护单位。[8]

荣誉[edit]

乡里在2024年1月获「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」称号。[1]

2020年12月，乡里获评「2020年福建省级森林康养小镇」。[1]

环境保护部于2014年6月公布，汤川乡列入「2012—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」。[1]
