地名[edit]
村名的由来是它位于中仙村的上方。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明清两代此处属尤溪县二十二都。1952年归入中仙乡；1958年划为中仙大队的一部分。1962年，中仙大队中的部分自然村分出，与邻近村落合组为上仙大队。1984年大队改为村，设立村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
上仙村森林资源丰富，盛产木材和毛竹；陶器是村里的一大特产，瓮、钵、盆、壶等陶器销往永泰、德化和闽清。[2]
文化[edit]
省农业农村厅于2022年10月确认上仙村，列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
2024年7月，村庄被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，并被确定为「2021—2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
双凤寺位于村北罗城山山顶，居高可以远眺四周群峰；五龙岩庙位于村南，岩壁陡峭，飞檐突出。[2]
