村子坐落在高山顶的平地上，故有此名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年改为山面村，设立村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

山面旧属尤溪二十八都，民国时称山面保。解放初设山面乡，1958年建山面大队，归坂面公社。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，山面村获2023年度三明市达标「六无」村（社区）称号，同月另获2021至2023年三明市达标「六无」村（社区）认定。[1]
