相传此地古时出过武将，原称“将坑”，后改称“蒋坑”。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
蒋坑自然村旧属尤溪七都，米罗石与上坑洋两个自然村则属二十四都。[1]
1984年，蒋坑大队改设为村，同时成立村民委员会。此前，1958年建有蒋坑大队，1955年称坂面区蒋坑乡，1950年为第五区蒋坑乡。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，蒋坑村获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
