湆头村是尤溪县西城镇下辖的行政村，位于镇区中部，村中心一带的良田被辟为县级现代农业示范园区。[2]

2021年11月，湆头村被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

湆头村旧属尤溪县五都，解放前为湆头保，1949年设湆头乡，后于1958年成立湆头大队；1984年定名湆头村，并设村民委员会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

20世纪70年代，农业学大寨期间，村民改造了环绕村庄的河床与沙滩，使大片沙滩变为良田，各路与渠道相通。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

湆下自然村的「湆头兵工厂战斗遗址」，博雅地名网称其为县级文物保护单位。[1]

百度百科称「东方军湆头战役遗址」于2007年列为县级文物保护单位。[3]
