林尾村位于尤溪县新阳镇南侧，距镇政府约2公里，下辖林下、太平桥、林尾洋、蒲头洋4个自然村。[1][3]

村名取自所辖林下村与林尾洋村各一字，村内新桥溪与洋头溪在林下、林尾洋一带汇合。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地旧属五十都，民国时划归儒褒保，解放初属新桥乡。集体化后设立林尾大队，1984年起以村的建制管理。[1][2]

地理与生计[edit]

村北以虎头岩山为界，村内溪流全长约5.5公里。全村耕地约1214亩，林地约4508亩，平均海拔280米。[2]

村中的瓷器手工业流传已久，两百多年前就有手工烧制的坛、瓮销往周边；近年又兴起以稻草为原料的加工业。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办将林尾村列为2021年福建省卫生村。[1]

2023年12月，林尾村被列入2023年度福建省森林村庄名单。[1]
