地名与历史[edit]
村子原由夏阳村分出另建生产队，因居于田洋中央，取名中洋。[1]
历史上此地先后归属四十九都与嵩溪保；集体化时期另立大队，归新桥公社。1984年，大队的建制改为村，并设立村民委员会。[1][2]
荣誉[edit]
2022年10月，本村被福建省农业农村厅认定为第二批「福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
2024年7月公布的三明市达标「六无」名单（2023年度）将本村纳入。[1]
