过溪村位于尤溪县下游东岸，海拔68米，东面依山，西面濒临沈溪，属西滨镇[1]。全村居民以谢、张两姓为主，约占95%，其余为陈、游等姓[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

明朝时期，此地属尤溪十四都。民国时期，曾与邻近村落合为一保[1]。1965年分出设立过溪大队，1984年改为过溪村并设立村民委员会[1]。

人文[edit]

清代中叶，村中谢姓子弟习练少林拳术，形成了习武的传统[2]。清乾隆年间，村中出过进士张应栋，他后来任福清道台[2]。

现状[edit]

全村293户、1077人，辖两个自然村、8个村民小组[1]。土地11790亩，其中林地9404亩，耕地96亩[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年12月，过溪村列入第二批国家森林乡村名单[1]。2022年10月，被列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」[1]。2024年1月，被命名为2023年福建省卫生村[1]。
