下墩村位于尤溪河下游，是水口水电站库区淹没后重建的村庄，属西滨镇管辖[1]。村子东与尤溪口镇相邻，西与西洋村接壤，南隔桥与集镇中心相望[1]。1992年，水口水电站建设需要，村民整体搬迁至现址[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武年间，此地属尤溪十四都，称“西岸”[1]。1980年，原所在大队中分出设立下墩大队，1984年改为下墩村并设立村民委员会[1]。

概况[edit]

全村267户、703人，分为4个村民小组，页中未注统计年份[2]。土地6930亩，其中林地5484亩，耕地35亩，平均海拔78米[2]。

荣誉[edit]

本村于2019年入选第一批国家森林乡村，2024年1月被命名为2023年福建省卫生村[1]。2006年，村庄获省级「园林式村庄」称号[2]。
