源湖村在沈河下游一带，靠山临水，304省道穿村而过，离尤溪县城19公里，离镇区5公里。[1][2]

交通与区位[edit]

村庄距京福高速互通口约3.5公里，是梅仙十都一带的门户。村下设源湖、坪尾、白坑三个自然村。[1]

经贸与农业[edit]

上世纪80年代以前，村中有三成以上村民从事土特产贸易，与三省十六县的商客往来密切。80年代以后，交通优势减弱，经贸活动随之减少。[1]

如今村中60%的农户从事种养业，坪尾自然村除种水稻外，还在山地和部分农田上种植生姜、小薯等经济作物。[1]
