半山村在尤溪河中下游的西岸，离梅仙镇区4公里，离尤溪县城10公里。[1][2]

地理位置[edit]

村东边隔河就是汶潭村，西边与通演村以一山相连。村庄依山傍水。[1]

沿革[edit]

明清两代，半山位于尤溪县九都境内。民国年间归入双梅镇，并与通演合为“通山保”。[1]

1951年以后，三村合为通汶乡。人民公社于1958年成立，通汶乡随之改名群星大队，之后又叫通汶大队。1961年半山独立为大队，与通演、汶潭脱离，至1984年大队改设为村。[1]

村名与土地[edit]

村民常说“半山半山只有半边山”，以此形容村域的地形。全村土地约4216亩，其中耕地660亩，林地1965亩。[1]
