谢坑村在尤溪河下游东岸，处于雍口水电站的库区，辖8个自然村。[1][2]

地理位置与交通[edit]

谢坑大桥接通尤口线公路。村庄离福银高速大排互通口约3公里，福银高速也从村外经过。[1]

据博雅地名网所载，该村在全县率先做到每个自然村都通了水泥路。[1]

矿产与林竹[edit]

村内林竹总面积约1.47万亩，有铅锌矿、锰矿和石灰石等矿产，矿石品位较高。[1]

人物与事迹[edit]

1963年春，全县第一支妇女耕山队在谢坑组建，人称「林海娘子军」。队伍的带领人罗春娣后来当选中共第九届、第十届中央候补委员。[1]

村中设有罗春娣耕山“娘子军”纪念馆。[3]

高考制度恢复之后，村中考入大中专院校的人数超过三十人，他们大多在省内外各行业任职。[1]
