水东村位于尤溪河东岸，距县城约3公里，属尤溪县城关镇。村域土地面积8.32平方千米。[1]

人口与村辖[edit]

村辖水东、大濑坂2个自然村，设5个村民小组，博雅地名网所载为197户、779人，未注统计年份。村内有20个姓氏。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域林地面积7.79平方千米，旱地160亩，果园420亩，经济林200亩，鱼塘21亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代及民国初期，村址属城内的坊、保。1949年成立水东村，1958年公社化时，原属另一乡的路口、大濑坂两处自然村划归本村管辖。[1]

1984年10月，东南大队改为水东村，村部设在水东。1992年，因水东电站建设而征用了全部耕地，村民由此转为非农业人口。[1]
