园溪村位于尤溪县城关镇西南方，村名取自古园与溪口两个自然村各一字。村域面积15.7平方千米。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域东西长4.5公里，南北宽6.25公里，驻地海拔162米，距城11公里。尤溪河穿村而过，村落大致由西向东展开。[1]

村内耕地以眉毛丘、斗笠田为主，平均气温约在15至20度之间，无霜期约300天，年降水量约1600毫米。[1]

人口与村辖[edit]

村辖王源头、庵头、古园、溪口（龙亭溪口）、老鼠坑5个自然村，设9个村民小组，博雅地名网所载为258户、1074人（男541人、女533人），未注统计年份。范、詹、王三姓人口约占总人口85%以上。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国前，古园一带属七都，其余各处属八都，称黄安保。1949年建制为行政村，设园溪乡；1950年属尤溪县第一区，1951年至1955年属第七区（台溪）。1958年改称园溪大队，1984年10月改制建村，村部设在庵头。[1]

1991年因建设电站，全村迁至新址居住，新建砖混结构楼房63000平方米，生活区道路全部硬化，并引入了自来水。[1]

自然资源[edit]

村域林地17871亩，以杉、松、毛竹、绿笋等林产为主，森林覆盖率达85%以上。耕地668亩。[1]
